Pregnant or nursing
Diabetic
Undergoing chemotherapy (consult your doctor)
Viral infections and/or diseases
Epilepsy
A pacemaker or major heart problems
Skin irritations or psoriasis near the treated area
Sick (cold, flu, etc.)
Used accutane in the past year
AFTER CARE
Do not rub or pick at the crust that will form over the next couple of days. Picking can cause scarring. There should be absolutely no scrubbing, cleansing creams, or chemicals applied to the skin.
Gently rinse the treated are with a mild anti-bacterial soap morning and evening before bed. Rinse with water and lightly pat the area dry. Apply a thin layer of ointment after each washing. Be careful to not over saturate the area with the oil as it will draw out the pigment if there is too much. The artist will demonstrate the appropriate amount at your appointment. Do not expose treated areas to the full water pressure of a shower until the area has healed. Do not soak treated area in a bath, swimming pool or hot tub. Do not swim in fresh, salt, or chlorinated pool water for at least 2-4 weeks following your procedure. No filling in your eyebrows or applying makeup to the area until the scabbing and flaking is finished and your skin seems to be healed. Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 3-4 weeks after procedure. Avoid heavy sweating for the first 10 days. No facials, Botox, chemical treatments and microdermabrasion for 4 weeks. Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days.
